Giving Thanks This Holiday Season

As we approach this Thanksgiving Holiday, I can’t help but recall how far I have come. There was a time in my life where any fly on the wall would think there wasn’t much I had to be thankful for. However, since I was a little girl, I have been blessed with the gift of insightfulness and gratitude.  While it seemed I did not have much to others, I was giving thanks for my family, our health, that we were all together and that there was so much love surrounding each of us.

Over the years I have faced many hardships, I have conquered many battles and lost several more. I know too well the feeling of thinking I am the only one experiencing let downs from life, but I have learned that if we take a moment to look around us and focus instead on our fellow citizens, we can easily see that every individual has their own struggles. For some the struggle is personal, health related, or a rocky relationship with a loved one.  One thing we can always rely on is change. We are never stuck; time is ever moving forward and there is always a light at the end of each tunnel.

My saving grace over the years when I have been stuck in my own rut was to focus on the positive rather than the negative. What has become ever more apparent to me is that I have many more blessings to count than hardships. I am thankful that I have all my senses to explore this beautiful world in which we live in, I am thankful that each night I have a warm home to shelter me, I am thankful that I have enough to eat and drink, I am thankful for my hot baths, I am thankful for my welcoming bed, I am thankful for my dear husband who is ever loving and supportive, I am thankful for my family and friends who continuously shower me with their affection and I am most thankful to be living in a country of peace, acceptance and opportunity.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays as it is a time to stop and reflect on our blessings rather than the constant stress we face in our daily lives. Let us all keep Thanksgiving alive every single day by counting our blessings each night instead of sheep before we sleep. By embracing this concept, I have come to start and end each day on a positive note and have been able to tackle every obstacle with focus, motivation and drive rather than dread and anxiety.

In celebration of this Thanksgiving Holiday, I extend my deepest gratitude to all of AAA-AMC’s lenders, appraisers, and my entire team. Without your business, your hard work and dedication, we would not have come this far. I am truly grateful for the role that each and every one of you has played to help my business grow and thrive throughout the years. May this Thanksgiving find you and your loved ones with an abundance of blessings, good health and prosperity.
